Community Action Network began its work in the Hikone neighborhood – one of the Ann Arbor Housing Commission public housing communities. Hikone is located in SE Ann Arbor and houses 29 families.
The community is ideally located, across the street from Buhr Park, surrounded by Rose and Mary Doyle parks. In addition to a well-utilized community vegetable garden, Hikone has a greenhouse, two beautiful playgrounds, and a fitness trail.
Educating Children & Youth

Free 6-week Educational Summer Camp designed to prevent summer learning loss

Free After School Program that provides homework & reading support, enrichment activities, social-emotional development, snack, and more

CAN Art & Design program in which students develop creative skillsets to inquire, design, build, and connect with their broader community
