Community

Goal

The goal of CAN's community-building programs is to partner with families to create and maintain clean, safe, and nurturing communities where families thrive.

"I keep coming back to Arrowwood Hills because of the sense of community I feel there. I felt welcome from my first day and everyone works to create a caring and positive environment."

Community Centers

CAN operates seven community centers located within specific communities. These community centers are spaces for parties, group meetings, CAN's educational, stabilization, and community-building programs, residents have access to computers with Internet, and more. They are a "third place" for many to come and spend quality time with one another, to have their basic needs met, and for their communities celebrated.

Community Events

CAN partners with families and Washtenaw community members to host holiday parties, Back-to-School BBQs, picnics, and other events that invite CAN families to build strong, neighborly relationships.
